I started doing Dog of the Week my Freshman year (Fall 2019), had to stop because of COVID-19, took a gap year, and then started again last year which means in the last 5 years, I’ve been doing DoW for about 3 of them. Now I am graduating and I will be leaving the Quest dog-less. I don’t know if someone will take on Dog of the Week, I hope someone does but that is up to you all, not me. Since this is my last issue I wanted to give you guys a bonus dog. She is a very rare dog since she actually lives in Seattle. This is my puppy!
Ada was adopted in July of 2020. Her dog mom was adopted by a human who didn’t know she was pregnant! Ada has 7 dog siblings that all made it to happy families. They still meet up every year on their birthday! Ada was named after the mathematician Ada Lovelace. However, if she was a student she wouldn’t major in Math but would actually major in Soft Toy Product Design and Stress Test and minor in Sociology. Sometimes she acts like she has to go outside but then once you get up to let her outside she just wants to play! Her favorite toy is a stuffed animal named Dodo who has been sewn back up several times over the years. Whenever Dodo gets surgery Ada will stare, very worried until Dodo is healed. She loves people very much but is fairly neutral about other dogs. She only really likes playing with her dog siblings whenever they meet up. She has a sister named Freya that she’s really close with! They sometimes have playdates and sleepovers and one time Ada stole Freya’s bone and brought it home but Freya was okay with it. 14/10 would give her all the bones.
As an addendum, I would like to thank all of you. I’ve gotten so many kind words over the years whenever people went “Wait you’re the person who writes Dog of the Week?” I’m glad I was able to bring you all a little joy.
